Cérémonie de remise des diplômes

You must apply for and obtain a study permit before arriving in Canada.

Starting January 22, 2024, most students must submit a Letter of Provincial Attestation (LAP) issued by the province or territory where they intend to study. Some exceptions apply. If you meet the requirements, you may be eligible to work without a work permit while you study.

Good reasons to study in Canada

Renowned quality of life

International students in Canada enjoy the same rights and freedoms that protect all Canadians: respect for human rights, equality, diversity and a stable and peaceful society. Canada is third in the world in terms of quality of life.

Flexible, high-quality education options

From elementary to post-secondary education, Canada is known for providing high-quality education and research opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to move between types and levels of education without facing barriers common in other parts of the world. You can choose from more than 8,000 college programs and more than 16,000 university programs. In addition, 7 Canadian universities are among the 200 best universities in the world, in English only).

A diverse and inclusive environment

Canada is an open, safe and culturally diverse society. Canada is home to more than 250 ethnic backgrounds where more than 200 languages from around the world are spoken, as well as 70 indigenous languages. In Canada, you will have access to scholarships as well as job opportunities that will help you pay for your education. Most international students are allowed to work during their studies and can apply for a post-graduation work permit after their studies. Tuition fees are, in general, lower than colleges and universities in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

A return on your investment in the long term

You'll get a great return on your investment when you leverage your internationally recognized Canadian skills to build your career. Whether you decide to stay in Canada or return to your home country, your Canadian education and network will help you prepare for your future.
